The upper St. Croix River near us offers interesting fishing opportunities. Floating downriver in a canoe, one can cast for walleyes and smallmouth bass or lower an anchor and still fish for sturgeon, catfish and redhorse suckers.
The fishing adventure can be for a couple of hours or all day. Canoe rental is available from Pardun Canoe Rental in Danbury which offers shuttle service to the drop-off and pick-up points.
The required fishing license can be from either Minnesota or Wisconsin and can be purchased at the Log Cabin Store in Danbury.
Note – do a blog post or facebook announcement about June 15th when fishing for sturgeon opens. Maybe also do one when fishing for walleye and smallmouth opens.
